The government has recently announced that flu vaccinations will be made available to all patients over the age of 50.

Vaccinations are to be made available from your local Chemist and Surgery.

Depending upon national availability of vaccine stocks, we hope to be able to offer you a free flu immunisation from 1st December.

So we can plan and try to order sufficient stock, could you please let us know if you would like a flu jab by emailing the address below.

If you are happy for us to contact you by text message, please include a mobile contact telephone number.

On the day of your vaccination:

To help our clinics run smoothly and maintain social distancing, we are asking that you do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your allocated time slot. In addition, please can you wear a face covering and be assured the staff will be taking appropriate precautions to protect you. We would also ask that you wear appropriate clothing to enable quick presentation of your upper arm.

Shingles

You are eligible for the Shingles vaccine if you are aged 70 or 78-79 years old. In addition, anyone who was previously eligible (born on or after 2 September 1942), but who has not been previously vaccinated, remains eligible until their 80th birthday.

There are no more clinics planned this year to administer Shingles vaccinations. However, please call the Surgery if you are eligible and you would like to be vaccinated.
